SONG RIMES Recording and Production Studio is a custom built facility run by producer/songwriter Lindsay Rimes.
SONG RIMES was purposely designed by acoustician Gerald Stewart (Sony, Studios 301) and subsequently built by Bob Cronan (2UE, Sony, Studios 301).
Situated in Surry Hills, Sydney, SONG RIMES aims to provide a comfortable atmosphere where all types of recording can take place using high end digital technology.
Boutique in style, SONG RIMES houses a control room and also a “Live” recording room where anything from drums to a string quartet can be captured beautifully.
The studio is perfect for singers, songwriters, and bands and can also be booked by independent producers needing a place to record/produce their next project.
Commercial clients will also appreciate the studio’s ability to cater for them with original compositions, sound editing and voice over services.
Recording
SONG RIMES uses state of the art digital recording equipment designed by SYDEC DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY in Belgium www.sydec.be
Using dual SOUNDSCAPE 32 Digital Audio Work Stations, SONG RIMES is capable of recording up to 128 tracks of 24bit/44.1khz digital audio captured through high-end 24bit/96khz digital converters designed and built by SYDEC.
SONG RIMES houses a collection of microphones including AKG, Shure, AudioTechnica, Elipsoid and Peluso.
Outboard equipment includes Pre-amps, Equalizers and Compressors from Chandler, Empirical Labs, TL Audio and DBX.
SONG RIMES monitor through Genelec 1031, Yamaha NS-10 and Auratone speakers.
